UniHR Butyl-80L HIC Resin
Hydrophobic interaction chromatography (HIC) separates biomolecules based on differences in their surface hydrophobicity. Under high-salt conditions, biomolecules adsorb onto the hydrophobic ligands of the HIC resin. By decreasing the salt concentration, proteins are eluted in order of increasing hydrophobicity, achieving separation and purification. HIC offers mild operating conditions and high resolution, making it a widely used method for biomolecule purification.
NanoMicro Uni®HR HIC resins feature monodisperse, highly cross-linked PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) hydrophilic-modified microspheres as the base matrix. Phenyl and butyl hydrophobic groups are immobilized on the surface via advanced bonding chemistry, allowing biomolecule adsorption under high-salt conditions and elution under low-salt conditions. These resins offer high binding capacity and low non-specific adsorption, making them ideal for further purification following ion-exchange chromatography.
Product Advantages:
a) Monodisperse microspheres ensure superior batch-to-batch consistency
b) Patented surface bonding technology delivers higher dynamic binding capacity
c) Compression factor during packing is significantly lower than agarose and dextran gels
d) Comprehensive resin specifications with customized solutions available
High mechanical strength and lower back pressure improve production efficiency
