UniHR Phenyl-30L HIC Resin

Hydrophobic interaction chromatography (HIC) separates biomolecules based on differences in their surface hydrophobicity. Under high-salt conditions, biomolecules adsorb onto the hydrophobic ligands of the HIC resin. By decreasing the salt concentration, proteins are eluted in order of increasing hydrophobicity, achieving separation and purification. HIC offers mild operating conditions and high resolution, making it a widely used method for biomolecule purification.

NanoMicro Uni®HR HIC resins utilize monodisperse, highly cross-linked PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) hydrophilic-modified microspheres as the base matrix. Phenyl and butyl hydrophobic ligands are immobilized onto the matrix surface via advanced bonding chemistry. These resins adsorb biomolecules under high-salt conditions and elute under low-salt conditions. They offer high binding capacity and low non-specific adsorption, making them ideal for further purification following ion-exchange chromatography.

Product Advantages:

f) Monodisperse microsphere media for superior batch-to-batch consistency

g) Patented surface bonding technology for higher dynamic binding capacity

h) Significantly lower compression factor compared to agarose and dextran gels

i) Comprehensive resin specifications with customized solutions available

j) High mechanical strength and lower back pressure for improved production efficiency
